Introduction to the center

On 10-12-2020, a correction and rehabilitation center for addicted inmates was established in the Birin Center, in order to achieve the vision of the Public Security Directorate represented by the Department of Correction and Rehabilitation Centers, which aims to rehabilitate the inmates and make them a constructive component in society, by providing free treatment for drug addicts and psychotropic substances in general and with the utmost confidentiality in accordance with international and local human rights standards for the target groups, where psychological, social and academic treatment and rehabilitation programs are provided to the inmates by qualified individuals and specialists in these fields in order to qualify them to be reintegrated in society and to become effective elements in building society and ending their sentence after they undergo the necessary treatment, as the center can accommodate (40) inmates.
