About US 

The Department of Communications and Information Technology is considered the vital of the various public security units by securing the necessary systems and equipment to enable these formations to carry out their security and humanitarian duties for all citizens  of police work services.

  • The department was established in (1947) under the name of Police and Gendarmerie communication and was followed to the Arab Army.
  • In the year (1958) the department was separated from the Arab Army and renamed Public Security Radio.
  • In the year (1966) the name of the Public Security wireless communication was changed to the Communications Branch until it became in the year 1968 at the management level.
