About Communication and Information Technology Institute

The Institute of Communications and Information Technology is a specialized scientific training institution followed  to the Department of Communications and Information Technology, which aims to provide specialized technical training in the field of communications and information technology systems for technicians from the personnel  of the Public Security Directorate (engineers/systems analysts/programmers), and training policies are implemented In the institute through the institute’s council, which is directly responsible for the implementation of these policies.

An agreement was signed between Public Security Directorate and the United Nations Development Fund to Support Women (UNIFEM) to establish a (Cisco Academy) under the name of the Public Security Academy for Information and Communication Networks.

On 1/13/2016, the Institute was honored by the visit of His Royal Highness, Crown Prince Al Hussein Bin Abdullah II, may God protect him, where His Highness sponsored the opening of a number of specialized courses that contribute significantly to developing the capabilities of public security staff , namely electronic protection courses, communication and the Internet for everything.

Public Security Directorate has developed a number of specialized training programs and courses for the purpose of keeping pace with the rapid global developments and developments around us, in order to prepare personnel  to enter the world of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

Among the duties of the Institute is the qualification and training of officers and other ranks in the sublic security directorate  on the use, programming, management, maintenance and development of communication and information technologies and electronic equipment, and the development of their technical capabilities to enable them to carry out their duties in the best way. Developing their technical capabilities to enable them to carry out their duties in the best way, qualifying and training university students and graduates on the use, programming, management, maintenance and development of communication and information technologies, coordination with government and private agencies and training institutes, and the conclusion of agreements that enrich the training system within the institute in terms of the development of courses and training curricula and the preparation and development of Training curricula and training programs aimed at raising the capabilities of the participants in the training courses and meeting the training need.
