The objectives of Training and Development Institute for Rehabilitation and Correction Centers are to:

  1. Develop trainees' thinking skills and abilities.
  2. Develop research capacities through training courses.
  3. Identify training needs to develop skills for the staff and the  participants of the Institute's training programs that held in the institute.
  4. Develop training plans  complied with training needs.
  5. Organize courses to develop the skills of participants and provide them with information.
  6. Develop a spirit of cooperation and teamwork.
  7. Improve the capacity of  participants to apply and transmit information for field work.
  8. Improve the working environment for staff of correction and rehabilitation centers and optimize their performance.
  9. Provide practical scientific and training academic services in accordance with international and local standards and human rights requirements and developing qualified human forces.
  10. Achieve a rehabilitation system that supports correction and rehabilitation through preparing qualified staff  capable of achieving the Institute's vision.
  11. Contributing to security and correctional welfare , behavioral rehabilitation and community integration.
  12. Develop the curriculum applied to the institute through the formation of specialized committees in order to keep abreast of regional and local developments and the related developments in the content of curriculum.
  13. Link the academic aspect of the participant in the courses to the practical methodology.
  14. Develop future plans for training and develop training curricula proposals for future courses.
  15. Spreading public awareness of the importance of correctional work through the diversity of welfare and rehabilitation programs for inmates through specialized qualitative training.
