Forensic And Laboratories Department

Overview:

The criminal laboratory was established in the Public Security Directorate in 1965.

In 1995, the forensic laboratory was separated from the Department of Criminal Investigation, as it became a separate department under the name of the Criminal Laboratory Department.

In 1998, this department was renamed the “Laboratory and forensics  Department”.

In 2012, the Criminal Sciences Training Center was established in this department.

On 22/7/2013, His Majesty the Supreme Commander King Abdullah II Ibn Al-Hussein - may God protect him - inaugurated the current building of the department.
