Recipients

  • Travelers leaving via the King Hussein Bridge/Foreign Departures Branch, and this branch is called tourism .

  • Jordanians who obtained travel visas from the Israeli embassy in Amman and who have approvals from the Ministry of Interior to leave through the King Hussein Bridge.

  • Jordanians who have residency (permanent or temporary) in Jerusalem, who did not have family unification and who have the approval of the Ministry of Interior to leave through the King Hussein Bridge.

  • Jordanians holding visitor permits. 

  • Persons who hold Jordanian or foreign passports. 

  • Holder of foreign passports. 

  • Patients leaving by ambulances/is through this branch and under the supervision of the Public Relations Officer.

  • Departure of the dead by dead transport vehicles / takes place through this branch and under the supervision of the Public Relations Officer. 

  • Tourist groups within the terms of the tourist groups (the presence of a list in the group - an approved tourist office - commitment to the approved tourist program).

Documents

1. Documents required from the traveler (holders of foreign passports) upon leaving the country via the King Hussein Bridge. 

  • A valid passport with an entry stamp from one of the centers Jordanian border. 
  • He is allowed to leave for one time without the need for approval from the Ministry of Interior. 
  • Holders of permanent Jordanian foreign passports (national number) are allowed to leave and come without the need for internal approval. Holders of foreign passports and annual residence inside the Kingdom are allowed to leave and come, provided that the period of their stay outside the country does not exceed 6 months. 
  • Documents required from the traveler (tourist groups) when leaving the country via the King Hussein Bridge.
    1. Tourist groups that hold foreign passports and intend to leave the Kingdom towards the West Bank, the following documents are required.
    Valid passports for each tourist within the tourist groups. 
  • An approved tourist office.
  • The group should have 5 people or more. 
  • Commitment to the tourism program.
  • Residency within the Kingdom for two nights or more, and for this, a (40) dinars entry visa must be paid. 
  • Documents required from the traveler (Jordanians who do not hold bridges statistics cards or Israeli occupation permits when leaving the country via the King Hussein Bridge).
  • A valid Jordanian passport. 
  • An entry visa issued by the Israeli embassy in Amman or a visit permit.
  • Approval of the Ministry of Interior (replacing a crossing).
  • Documents required of the traveler (citizens of Jerusalem) upon leaving the country via the King Hussein Bridge. 
  • A temporary or permanent Jordanian passport. 
  • Having a temporary residence permit on the passport or an Israeli occupation permit for the residents of Jerusalem.
    Approvals of the Ministry of Interior for the departure of those who hold a temporary or permanent residence in Jerusalem from those who hold Jordanian passports or the residence permit confirmed on the passport (without obtaining family unification).

Procedures

  • A- Departure tax is collected for the categories to which the procedures for obtaining tax 0 are applied.
    1. Jordanian passport + foreigner.
    2. A foreign passport that has been in the country for a period of (48) hours.
    3. The Israeli (all the crossings through which entry to Israel takes place) as it is not considered a passage.
  • B - Any other foreign passport entered through the border crossings, an amount of one and a half dinars is collected for each day of overstaying by the foreigners' accountant from our salary, and the collected amounts are submitted to the Southern Shouneh Finance. Passengers' documents are checked by one of the salaries of this department and to ensure that there is a police + intelligence stamp and the completion of the procedures for obtaining the tax .
    1. When the bus arrives at the departures building for foreigners, the tour guide accompanying the group collects their passports and lists of names and delivers them to the intelligence representative, and after being checked by the intelligence officer, they are handed over to the police booth to complete the registration procedures.
    2. The luggage of the tourist group is inspected on an X-Ray device.
    3. The representative of the public security, after checking, stamps four statements for the tourist groups (one of them is handed over to the intelligence, the second to the public security, and the third remains with the group to appear in the event of return, and the fourth is with the group guide).
    4. The public security representative checks the names on the list and matches them with the bus passengers.
    5. The baggage of departing passengers is inspected by V.I.P system on an X-Ray machine in the foreign arrivals hall.
    6. The employee of the company collects the passports of the departures using the (V.I.P) system in the (V.I.P) hall.
    7. The employee of the V.I.P company checks the passports of the passengers with the intelligence and police employee from the salary of the Bridges Security Department, and he is given a stamped paper that feels that the audit and registration procedures have been duly completed.
    8. Passengers' documents are checked when they board the V.I.P buses by one of our payers and the driver is given notice of that.
    9. The bus driver is granted a permit allowing him to leave to the front bridge by the departure officer, foreigners, and his document is reserved until his return, provided that it is by buses approved by the Ministry of Tourism (Smart Way, Rum, Sultan, Jet, Elfa, Philadelphia, Misk, Sahara).
    10. The V.I.P bus goes to the front bridge and on the front bridge the passenger documents are checked again.

Fees

  • 1.If tourist group does not comply with the tourist program “violating the residence condition,” an amount of (40) dinars is collected for each person by our foreigners’ accountant under a financial receipt.
    2. A departure tax is collected by the customs officer if the group stays (48) hours or more inside the country (10 dinars for each person).
    3. The accountant for the departures of foreigners shall collect an amount of two dinars for each departing tourist bus, according to an official receipt.
