Public Security Director, Major General Dr. AbeidAllah Maaitah, affirmed that the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan has spared no effort to provide support  to the refugees since the establishment of the Jordanian state, based on the human, national and religious values rooted in the approach of the Hashemite leadership.

Major General Al-Maaitah added, during his visit today to the Directorate of Syrian Refugee Affairs, that Jordan is one of the countries that host the largest percentage of refugees compared to the number of the population in the world.

The Director of Public Security indicated to the importance of the role played by the Ministry of the Interior, through managing the affairs of the Syrian refugee camps since its establishment in 2013, to follow up on the affairs of the Syrian refugees inside the four refugee camps (Al-Zaatari, Al-Azraq, Marjeb Al-Fuhud, and Al-Hadiqa) in all regions of the Kingdom, managing their affairs and transactions and issuing their cards. .

Major General Al-Maaitah passed orders to the need to continue providing security, humanitarian and social services to refugees in the camps, noting that the Directorate is continuing to provide all forms of human and logistical support to the Directorate, enabling it to carry out its operational and humanitarian duties, in accordance with international best practices in this field.

The Director of Public Security was briefed by the Director of Syrian Refugee Affairs directorate about the efforts to advance its work in managing the camps, fully supervising them and providing security protection for them, and the procedures followed in the field of documenting and counting Syrian refugee cases through (magnetic card) in addition to the plans and training programs aimed at raising The Directorate's personnel skills and building their capacities in providing security and humanitarian services to all refugees.

On the other hand, the Director of Public Security inspected the workflow within the North Amman Licensing Department, as he was briefed on the level of services provided, toured the department's facilities, and followed up the procedures and services provided.
