The Director of Public Security, Major General AbeidAllah Maaitah, met in his office today, the US Assistant Secretary of State for Civil Security, Democracy and Human Rights, Mrs. Ozra Zia and her accompanying delegation.

The two sides discussed ways to strengthen cooperation in a way that contributes to the development of law enforcement agencies in the two friendly countries.

During the meeting, Major General Al Maaitah stressed the good relationship between the two public security agencies in the two friendly countries, which comes as an extension of the depth of the good relationship between the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and the United States.

The Director of Public Security indicated PSD’s  keenness to enhance joint cooperation and coordination, and to open new horizons for this fruitful cooperation.

In her turn, the US Assistant Secretary of State praised the good reputation enjoyed by the Jordanian Public Security Directorate at the local and international levels.

she stressed the importance of communication and coordination between the security agencies of the two friendly countries in order to serve the citizens, stressing her country's keenness to continue cooperation and exchange of experiences and expertise between the security agencies of the two friendly countries.
