Public Security Directorate has begun implementing its comprehensive security plan, which began in the last days of the holy month before the Eid al-Fitr holiday.

The plan, which witnessed high coordination between various security and traffic formations, aims to provide a safe environment to citizens, and to facilitate and enable them to perform worship, shopping, and fulfill their various needs.

Public Security Director, Major General Dr. AbeidAllah Maaitah, passed orders to PSD personnel to provide help to  citizens through  the smooth procedures to regulate movement and ensure traffic safety, accompanied by appropriate security deployment in civilian and military uniforms, especially areas that witness populated centers and heavy traffic and commercial activity, such as markets and entertainment places.

The traffic departments called on drivers and road users to fully adhere to traffic rules and avoid committing violations and incorrect traffic behaviors that may constitute traffic obstacles .

While the Civil Defense Directorate has placed its working cadres with high readiness to respond and provide services efficiently and effectively, the Prevention and Self-Protection Department has also intensified its field tours to all facilities, commercial markets, gaming houses and other various facilities that citizens frequent during the Eid holiday, calling on for the adoption of preventive behavior

It is worth noting that, in line with the correction policy of the Public Security Directorate and its keenness to keep inmates in correction and rehabilitation centers in contact with their external environment, the correction and rehabilitation centers will open their doors to the inmates’ families with private and regular visits starting from the first day of Eid.

Public Security Directorate calls on citizens to cooperate with its personnel deployed in the field, and to call the unified emergency number 911 when needed in order to preserve the security and safety of everyone.
