The return of passenger movement to normal after during the weekend coinciding with the start of school holidays.

  (19) thousand vehicles entered Jordan through the Al-Omari border during the past week, in addition to 11 thousand vehicles during the past 48 hours.

  (44) thousand passengers crossed the Al-Omari border towards Jordan during the past 48 hours, with standard time procedures.

The procedures for crossing the Arab brothers traveling across the borders of Al-Omari and Jordan towards their countries contributed heavily to the flow of travelers.

Colonel Samer Nasraween, the Director of Al-Omari Borders, confirmed that Public Security Directorate has doubled the efforts at the border crossings to facilitate the passage of travelers, in implementation of the directives of the Public Security Director in his recent visit to the Residence and Borders Department.

During his speech on Public Security Radio AMEN FM, Colonel Nasraween said that cooperation and coordination with all national institutions facilitated the work on the border centers and crossings, through a series of meetings with the various stakeholders that preceded the arrival of expatriates and visitors to the Kingdom.

Nasraween added that the procedures for entry of travelers to Jordanian territory through all border crossings are running smoothly today and have returned to normal, after the intensity caused by the return of travelers at the end of the week.

Nasraween indicated that 19,000 vehicles entered Jordan via the Al-Omari border during the past week, in addition to 11,000 vehicles during the past 48 hours and that approximately 44,000 travelers crossed the Al-Omari border towards Jordanian lands during the past 48 hours with record time procedures.

The travelers were Jordanian expatriates, and among the Arab brothers returning to their country, in addition to visitors to the Kingdom for the purpose of tourism , indicating that the movement of travelers returned to normal after an active movement during the weekend that coincided with the start of school holidays, added Nasraween .

Colonel Nasraween noted that the procedures for crossing the Arab brothers traveling across the Al-Omari border towards their countries need additional procedures that may lead to the density of some passages, indicating that the number of PSD personnel  working at the crossing has been doubled around the clock.
