The first Jordanian medal in the history of Jordanian participation in the World Boxing Championship

He topped the international rankings in boxing and taekwondo

Public Security Directorate congratulated its athletes participating in the ranks of the national sports teams (boxing, badminton, Paralympic athletics, taekwondo), for achieving many historical and distinguished international achievements in the recent period.

Public Security Directorate affirmed its continuous support for athletes in cooperation with all concerned parties, expressing in this regard its thanks for the efforts made by the Jordanian Olympic Committee headed by His Highness Prince Faisal bin Al Hussein, and sports federations to prepare players, equip them and raise their level.

  In the sport of boxing, the boxer of the national team and the Public Security "Mohammed Abu Jajah" managed to win the bronze medal in the World Boxing Championship, thus recording the first medal in the history of Jordanian participation in the World Championship.

The Asian champion boxer, Abu Jaja, scored three winnings  that qualified him to the semi-finals, before he suffered a loss against the Cuban player, to be content with the bronze in the tournament, whose matches are held in the Uzbek capital, Tashkent, with the participation of (538) players representing (107) countries.

In badminton, Bahaa Al-Shnik, the national team player and the Public Security Badminton team, achieved a historic achievement for the World Championship, which will be held in Denmark next August.

Al-Shnik deservedly won the card, becoming the first Jordanian player for the World Championship competitions in the individual category, after achieving many distinguished results.

Al-Shnik also advanced fourteen places in the international classification of the game, to be ranked (88) in the world and the first in the Arab world, as the best position achieved by a Jordanian player in badminton.

In the sport of Paralympic athletics, the runner of the Paralympic national team and public security, Nabil Al-Muqabla, won the gold medal in the Italian International Championship "Grand Prix", which is held with the participation of (496) male and female players representing (65) countries.

Taekwondo and boxing players in general also showed great superiority and progress in the international classification for both sports, as the national team and public security player, Juliana Al-Sadiq, ranked first in the international classification for taekwondo under 67 kg, as the first Arab player to reach the top of the international classification.

While the player "Zaid Al-Halawani", the player of the national team and public security, came in second place in the category of weight under (68) kg, and the player "Saleh Al-Sharbati", player of the national team and public security, ranked fourth in the category of weight under (80) kg.

While the boxer Ziyad Ashish topped the rankings of world players with a weight of (71) kg, and Muhammad Abu Jaja advanced to the fourth place in the world in the weight of (60) kg, and Hussein Ashish came in the eleventh place in the world in the weight of (91) kg, and Uday Al-Hindawi ranked fourteenth in the world in the weight of (91) kg. (86) kg, and Youssef Ashish ranked twenty-third in the world with a weight of (57) kg, while Obada Al-Kasbah ranked twenty-eighth in the world with a weight of (63.5) kg.
