Major General Al-Maaitah: Public Security is in a continuous modernization and development due to the directives of His Majesty the King and his continuous support.

 Major General Al- Maaitah conveys His Majesty's greetings to the members of the gendarmerie, and his appreciation for their efforts to provide security and strengthen the rule of law.

 Public Security Directorate continues the giving, and the gendarmerie forces defended the security and stability of the homeland.

** Work continues to provide the gendarmerie forces with all the qualified man power, equipment and machinery they need, to enable the response teams to maintain the security and safety of citizens, efficiently and effectively.

** Strengthening security and community work, to enhance the culture of countering the crime and working with a security approach that preserves the rule of law and adheres to human rights, and the principles of integrity and impartiality.

** Major General Al- Maaitah praises the discipline and professionalism of the gendarmerie forces, and the cooperation and coordination that characterizes their work in various duties

Public Security Director, Major General Dr. AbeidAllah Maaitah, affirmed that Public Security Directorate is going through a phase of continuous modernization and development based on  the directives of His Majesty King Abdullah II, the Supreme Commander of Jordan Armed Forces, and His Majesty's continuous support.

Major General Al- Maaitah conveyed His Majesty's greetings to the personnel of the gendarmerie, and his appreciation for their efforts to provide security and strengthen the rule of law.

This came during his visit today to the Gendarmerie Forces HQ, and his meeting with the Commander of the Gendarmerie Forces and the senior officers, in the presence of the assistants and a number of commanders  and directors in the Public Security Directorate.

Major General Al-Maaitah stressed the important security roles of the gendarmerie forces in supporting the security and humanitarian duties in coordination with the various units and formations, as well as the implementation of a number of qualitative duties entrusted to the gendarmerie forces according to their field specialization.

Major General Al- Maaitah indicated that Public Security Directorate is continuing giving and sacrifice for the sake of the homeland and its wise Hashemite leadership, and the gendarmerie forces presented defending the security and stability.

 

The Director of Public Security confirmed that work is continuing to provide the Gendarmerie Forces with all the qualified man power via specific and specialized training with the necessary field skills and scientific knowledge that are consistent with the reality of security needs and simulate the nature of expected and emergency duties.

Major General Al- Maaitah directed the need to strengthen security and community work, based on the philosophy of partnership with society and communication with its members to enhance the culture of addressing crime and negative phenomena, and in cooperation and coordination with all national and civil institutions, adding that the PSD’s keenness to work with a security approach that preserves the rule of law and adheres to laws, legislation and human rights.

Major General Al-Maaytah passed orders to  the logistics departments to provide the latest equipment and mechanisms, appropriate to the work of the gendarmerie forces and capable of achieving operational goals, taking into account the geographical expansion to enable the Rapid response teams to deal with events related to maintaining the security and safety of citizens, efficiently and effectively, to maintain tranquility in society.

The Director of Public Security praised the discipline of the Gendarmerie and the professionalism of its personnel , and the cooperation and coordination that characterizes its work with the rest of the Public Security Directorate units and its formations, in the various governorates, and the tasks of protection and guarding facilities, support for combating  crimes,  drugs and terrorism, and other duties carried out.

 

The Director of Public Security was briefed  by the Commander of the Gendarmerie about the duties and the most prominent plans for their implementation, in conjunction with the continuation of the training process in its various stages to continue improving the level of performance and the flow of security and humanitarian services in coordination with the various Public Security formations.
