Public Security Director: Protecting lives and property is our duty as we will continue to combat crime and prosecute its perpetrators.

Major General Al-Maaitah: The Armed Forces are the shield of the homeland. We support their efforts with force to strike the dens of criminals.

Major General Al- Maaitah stresses the importance of community partnership to fight crime through a participatory, awareness-raising approach that includes various regions and groups.

Public Security Director, Major General Dr. AbeidAllah Maaitah, conveyed the greetings of His Majesty King Abdullah II, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and His Majesty’s pride in the efforts of Public Security personnel and their efforts made to fight crime and protect community security.

Major General Al- Maaitah praised the major role of the Criminal Investigation Department in combating crime and preserving citizens’ rights.

The Director of Public Security stated during his visit to the Criminal Investigation Department that the achievements achieved by this department, the most important of which is the high rates of crime detection and arrest the perpetrators, are the proof of the development of performance and the improvement of the means of implementing it and the efficiency of staff-members.

Major General Al- Maaitah said that protecting lives and property is our duty, which is a priority, and that Public Security Directorate continues to combat crime and prosecute the perpetrators, adding that the national security system works in coordination and integration of roles between the armed forces, security agencies, and the nation’s institutions.

Major General Al- Maaitah stressed that the Jordan Armed Forces - the Arab Army, is the homeland’s shield and its trustworthy source, and that we in Public Security Directorate support their efforts to strike the dens of criminals.

The Director of Public Security stressed the importance of developing specialized security work, and confronting crimes, especially modern ones, based on modern technologies, indicating to the necessity of studying behavioral patterns and criminal matters, which may be accompanied by a development in the form and methods of crime.

The Director of Public Security stressed the importance of community partnership to fight crime through a participatory approach that includes various regions of the Kingdom and groups of society, stressing the necessity of activating crime prevention and response tools, especially in new crimes, adding that  the importance of developing the cybercrime unit, in light of the increasing number of  cybercrimes, Electronic transactions, educating citizens and protecting them from being vulnerable to this type of crime.

The Director of Public Security was briefed by the Director of the Criminal Investigation Department, in which he explained the most important and prominent cases that were dealt with, statistics related to the criminal situation, the most prominent plans followed, and future aspirations for developing work and keeping up with crime development.‎
