The Director of Public Security, Major General Dr. AbeidAllah Maaitah, patronized today, Thursday, at the Prince Hussein Ibn Abdullah II Academy for Civil Protection, a scientific seminar entitled: The modern strategy for public relations and improving the mental image of institutions.

This  seminar was held within the framework of the Academy’s social and scientific responsibility, and based on the Academy’s role in developing scientific and security knowledge, especially what keeps pace with institutional needs in public security and the civil protection system.

The director of Public Security, Major General Dr. AbeidAllah Maaitah, stressed the importance of the roles assumed by the Public Security Directorate in building a system of public relations capable of delivering the security message efficiently, in a way that contributes to achieving awareness against crime, and ensuring effective community participation in efforts to establish security and stability.

During a discussion paper  presented by the Assistant Director of Public Security for Operations and Training, Brigadier General Anwar Al-Tarawneh, he confirmed that the concept of public relations in the Public Security Directorate witnessed a development that simulated  the process of development and modernization in Public Security, indicating that the Directorate took a number of specialized measures to develop its media strategies and modern tools and digital applications that allow news to be easily circulated and shared in different contexts help provide security and humanitarian services to citizens.

The Retired Brigadier General Dr. Adeel Al-Shurman also presented a discussion paper on the role of public relations in forming and improving the mental image of institutions and qualifying leaders in this field, reviewing the most important experiences and scientific opinions related to it. Dr. Sakher Al-Khasawneh also spoke about modern communication strategies and how to integrate and invest in social media.

For his part, the Dean of the Prince Hussein Bin Abdullah II Academy for Civil Protection, Dr. Muwaffaq Al-Khalidi, thanked the Public Security Directorate for its continuous support in providing the means of success for the educational and training process at the academy in accordance with the highest professional and scientific standards, which gave the academy’s graduates levels of excellence during their scientific and practical careers. .

The seminar, which was attended by a number of commanders  and directors from various public security units and formations and specialists in the field of media and public relations, included discussion and dialogue sessions that addressed many aspects related to the fields of public relations.
