The Director of Public Security, Major General Dr. AbeidAllah Maaitah, affirmed that the Kingdom's hosting of international sports competitions and championships reflects Jordan's position, and the world's confidence to organize such events in a safe, civilized environment.

During his meeting with force responsible  to provide protection for the World Wrestling  Cup in the Princess Sumaya Hall in Al-Hussein Sports City for Youth, which will host the events of the tournament, Major General Al-Maaitah also stressed, in the presence of the Assistant Director of Public Security for Operations and the directors  concerned with the duty, the importance of continuing to secure international sports championships and competitions with professionalism . The most important of which is the Romanian and Freestyle Wrestling  World Championship for under 20 years and for both)males and Females, which the Kingdom will host during the coming period.

Major General Al-Maaitah passed orders that all available administrative, logistical and technical capabilities be provided, in cooperation and coordination with the Jordan Olympic Committee and the Jordan Wrestling Federation, to ensure the security for the participating teams, fans, sports delegations and media professionals, in accordance with international standards followed in such important international competitions.

Major General Al-Maaitah indicated that the success of hosting this global event is a joint responsibility of all institutions, stressing the great reputation gained by the Public Security Directorate and its accumulated experience and success in securing national and international sporting events.

The International Wrestling Federation decided to grant Jordan the honor of hosting the World Championship under the age of 20 for Romanian and freestyle wrestling , and it is expected that it will witness wide international participation during the period from 14 to 20 August of this month.
