The Director of Public Security, Major General Dr. AbeidAllah Maaitah, met today at the Directorate's HQ with an Italian military delegation headed by Brigadier General Pietro Carrozza, Deputy Director of Operations Department at the General Command of the Italian Carabinieri, to discuss ways and aspects of enhancing joint police and security cooperation relations.

Major General Al-Maaitah confirmed that Public Security Directorate is constantly working to develop the capabilities of its personnel, by looking at the distinguished security and police expertise enjoyed by friendly and brotherly countries, indicating to the deep cooperation relations with the Italian police, which is a reflection of the good relationship between the two friendly countries.

For his part, Brigadier General Carrozza and his accompanying delegation praised the distinguished level reached by the Public Security Directorate with all its formations and the efforts made with high professionalism, stressing that the relationship between Jordan and the Republic of Italy is solid and rooted.

It is noteworthy that the Italian delegation is currently visiting the Royal Department for Environment Protection, in order to conclude the twinning project between the Italian Carabinieri and the Royal Department for Environment Protection in the Public Security Directorate, to develop the department's fields of work in the field of heritage and natural resources protection, to review the work mechanism, exchange experiences between them, and apply international best practices.
