The Director of Public Security, Major General Dr. AbeidAllah Maaitah, and the Director-General of the Standards and Metrology Institution, Engineer Abeer Al-Zuhair, signed today, in the Directorate’s building, a memorandum of understanding to strengthen strategic partnership frameworks to improve the economic and social system in a way that contributes to its sustainability in accordance with the best health and environmental practices followed in this field.

Major General Al- Maaitah stressed Public Security Directorate’s keenness to maintain the comprehensive community and service system for citizens within participatory foundations with various relevant parties in a way that contributes to achieving the national interest in its various dimensions, especially health ones.

The Director of Public Security indicated that the memorandum of understanding comes from the Directorate’s belief in the importance of the national and societal roles implemented by the Institution for Standardization and Metrology with the aim of providing health and environmental protection and public safety to the people of society in a way that ensures the sustainability of the national economy in the required manner..

In turn, Engineer Abeer Al-Zuhair appreciated the keenness of the Public Security Directorate to move forward in implementing partnerships with official and private institutions in order to provide security and humanitarian services to citizens in their various health and nutritional dimensions, in line with the prosperity and development that Jordan enjoys in all fields.

The Director General of the Standards and Metrology Institution indicated that the agreement represents a remarkable aspect of framing areas of cooperation between the two sides within participatory foundations based on the exchange of information and training experiences, in line with their keenness to embody public service with full ability and ensure its positive reflection on the safety and health of citizens.

It is noteworthy that the memorandum includes cooperation in implementing a series of logistical and training procedures related to the exchange of information, especially related to preserving public and environmental health and safety in accordance with the rule of law and consistent with the latest relevant computer systems, in addition to organizing seminars, workshops and conferences related to the national and societal interest, in addition to organizing Awareness lectures in the field of various civil defense works.
