Today, Public Security Directorate, in cooperation with the European Union and the German Agency for International Cooperation (Giz), launched a project to support protection systems and prevention of gender-based violence.

The project aims to strengthen law enforcement systems with regard to preventing cases of gender-based violence in order to reach safe and stable societies free from violence and discrimination, and to address everything that affects the security and stability of these societies.

The project also aims to enhance the capabilities of the Family Protection Department cadres to carry out duties aimed at improving the institutional and organizational framework related to dealing with gender-based violence.
