PSD spokesman said that Anti-Narcotics Department continued their efforts and intensive operations to deal narcotic cases, as during the past days, AND dealt with 12 specific cases and security operations during which 19 drug dealers, promoters, and wanted persons were arrested.

The most prominent of these cases was Ramtha, as two specific cases were dealt with. In the first case, five and a half kilograms of narcotic substance were seized from the possession of a drug dealer after collecting information about him, arresting him as the dealer offered to sell one kilogram for 25 thousand dinars, while in the second case, another dealer was arrested in possession of 35 palm-sized sheets of hashish and 6,000 narcotic pills.

In Mafraq Governorate, after collecting information about a number of wanted persons, a joint security operation was carried out during which AND raided the locations of wanted persons and drug-dealers. The operation led to the arrest of four wanted persons and traffickers, and a total of 18 palm-sized sheets of hashish and 1,000 pills were seized in their possession and three firearms.

In the first case, after collecting information about a drug dealer, he was raided and arrested, and 1 kg of crystal and a palm-sized sheets of hashish were found in his possession.

In the second case, another drug dealer was arrested and 20 palm-sized sheets of hashish were found in his possession.

In middle Amman, two dealers were arrested in the third case after they were monitored and 7 palm-sized sheets of hashish, 2000 narcotic pills, and 129 grams of crystal narcotic drugs were found in their possession.

In the latest case in the capital, a drug dealer’s house was raided, he was arrested, and 9 marijuana, 3,000 narcotic pills, and two firearms were found in his possession.

In the northern desert, two cases were dealt with. The first one included a raid on the house of a drug dealer who used it to store smuggled narcotic materials. After his arrest, 49 palm-sized sheets of hashish and 35,000 narcotic pills were seized inside the house. While in the second case, a drug dealer of Arab nationality was arrested with 35,000 narcotic pills in his possession.

In the Central Desert, after monitoring and collecting information about a drug dealer who was classified as very dangerous, it was confirmed that he, along with two other suspects, had transported a quantity of narcotic substances by means of one of the vehicles. He and those with him were pursued and arrested after trying to escape, 10 palm-sized sheets of hashish were found inside the vehicle.

In Zarqa Governorate, two cases were dealt with. The first was in the Rusaifah District, during which a drug dealer was arrested in possession of 3 palm-sized sheets of hashish and 2,500 narcotic pills. In the second case, two drug traffickers were raided and 10,000 narcotic pills and 12 palm-sized sheets of hashish were seized in their possession.

All cases were referred to the Public Prosecutor of the State Security Court.
