Today, the Directorate of Public Security and Al-Balqa Applied University signed a memorandum of understanding aimed at exchanging scientific and practical experiences in the field of enhancing traffic safety and reducing traffic accidents.

This memorandum comes as part of the public security strategy to improve the traffic reality within a participatory approach with the relevant ministries and partner agencies, especially educational institutions that play an important role in spreading a traffic culture that promotes good practices.

The memorandum includes holding meetings, workshops, and awareness and training courses for university students and employees, to increase their traffic awareness, and to prepare joint scientific and traffic studies and research, in addition to adopting the traffic safety course as an optional course for university students.

The signing ceremony was attended on behalf of the Director of Public Security, Major General AbeidAllah Maaitah, the Assistant for Traffic and Foreigners Affairs, the President of Al-Balqa Applied University, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Al-Ajlouni, representatives of the traffic departments in Public Security, and a number of members of the administrative and academic bodies at the university.
