Anti-Narcotics Department arrests two people swallowed a quantity of capsules stuffed with cocaine
PSD/ Public Relations and Media Department said that the Anti-Narcotics Department have dealt with a number of smuggling, trafficking and possession of narcotics cases in the past few years and have succeeded in investigating and following up on the arrest of wrongdoers and preventing the completion of their criminal schemes by promoting, selling and smuggling these deadly substances.
Public Relations and Media Department added that a particular case took place at Queen Alia International Airport, as Anti Narcotics Department received information on the attempt of two people from outside the Kingdom to smuggle a quantity of narcotics, followed-up these information to determine the date of arrival of two suspects and they were arrested in collaboration With the security services inside the airport and found inside their viscera on the amount of capsules filled with cocaine drug narcotic, Investigations revealed that they intended to re-smuggle the narcotics out of the kingdom and three other suspects were also involved, two of whom were arrested and the investigation is under way.
In another case, anti-narcotics groups in the capital placed a precise ambush in one of the capital areas for two suspects after receiving information about their intention to hand over and receive a quantity of narcotic pills, where they were raided and arrested on time they arrived at the exchange location, a bag containing 80 thousand narcotic pills has been seized with one of them, after the completion of investigations they were transferred to a prosecutor of the State Security Court.
Anti-narcotics team headed to a freight office in the capital after receiving information about two people placing a quantity of food in which they hid quantities of narcotics inside the office for transport to a country where they were seized with 2 kg of Hasheesh drug substance in addition to 5000 narcotic pills, the two persons involved in the case were arrested and were brought to justice.
