criminal Sciences Training Center
In 15th of October 2012 criminal Sciences Training Center was established in forensic labs to be a leader Center regionally in the field of Criminal Sciences training, implementing PSD's vision on development and Improvement in training fields, and creating a skilled and efficient cadres that are able to detect crime and malefactors, dealing with a crime scene, inspecting evidences and examining it in labs by newly techniques to achieve Justice and save human rights.
This Centre consists of three sections
Training section, studies and developing section and programs and preparation section
Its main duties are
- Studying, analysis, training requirements endorsement and then drawing and implementing its specialized programs which increase members efficiency in criminal sciences and Laboratories fields working with its cadres and of various police departments and local institutions and Arabic and friendly States.
- Adoption and supporting scientific searching and studies that related to criminal sciences and laboratory tests and techniques which will develop working in criminal Laboratories
- Following up new developments on criminal tests techniques and make necessary studies on it
- Providing technical advice to any training center and coordinating with other scientific institutions and sharing experiences through seminars and workshops.
Almost 80 courses been held annually in 40 specialist subjects on average of 800 participants for trainees of forensic labs, various Police Departments, General Intelligence Department and Civil Defense Department, in addition to several governmental institutions like Anti-corruption Agency and others
Specialist subjects include crime scene Sciences, fingerprint picking up and comparing techniques, Firearms, criminal photography picking up, Analysis biological and chemical evidences techniques, internet and computer crimes, digital evidences importance sounds purification, police dog TOT and other crime Sciences subjects in addition to any courses requested of any party.
Training courses also held to participants of several Arabic countries like Iraq Sudan Bahrain Saudi Arabia and Palestine.
51 courses have been held during the last two years with 187 participants within agreement that PSD contribute and financing some of it and some of it been financed by the participants' countries or by national agencies like Japanese International cooperation agency (JICA) and European Union.
Every effort will be exerted to attract more participants of friendly States
The center features by using standard in drawing and implementing training programs in addition to modern teaching aids like interactive laboratory and practical training and equip it with visible and audible system in the training classes and connected to sections' Laboratories and simulator training class room to practice various scenarios on crime scene and a library include scientific references on different crime scenes field .
