Request a permit to drive a Jordanian vehicle with a foreign license

Recipients

• For people who meet the required conditions.

Place

•  Institutional Development Department / Traffic Department as well.
• The application form can be filled out electronically through the Traffic Department website / electronic services: www.traffic.psd.gov.jo

Conditions

• Personal presence of the person concerned.
• To have completed eighteen years of age.
• He should not be in possession of a Jordanian driving license.
• The category of the vehicle is private, and this permit is given to drive one vehicle only.

Documents

• A valid foreign driving license authorizing him to drive a private vehicle (original and copy together).
• A translation of the license, if it is not in Arabic or English, from an accredited translation office.
• A copy of the license to own the private vehicle to be driven.
• A copy of a valid passport (personal information / date of entry). Copy of residency (for foreigners) or entry visa. Two personal photos.
• A financial receipt of (10) dinars. If he works for his company, he is required to bring a letter from this company showing the nature of his work.
• The vehicle to be driven must be owned by him or one of his relatives, with proof of kinship status (bring a copy of the family book).

Procedures

• The service recipient fills out the service form attached with all the required documents / if the conditions apply to the applicant.
• The employee checks the submitted papers and the financial receipt.
• The department head explains the application.
• Granting the permit stating all the conditions, signed and stamped  officially.

• (10) Dinars /  Article (13-a) Clause (14) of System No. (100) for the year 2015 with the exception of ministries, official and public departments, municipalities, joint services councils and educational institutions.
