The Director of Public Security, Major General AbeidAllah Maaitah, patronized today, the seminar organized by AND under the title "The role of educational institutions in raising awareness of the dangers of drugs."

Major General Al-Maaitah said in a speech during the seminar that Public Security Directorate is continuing to implement the Royal directives in confronting the scourge of drugs, according to a strategy to raise the efficiency of the Anti-narcotics Department and enable it to carry out its duties in combating this scourge, expressing his thanks to all official authorities and institutions that play major participatory roles in this field.

Major General AlMaaitah stressed the importance of awareness plans and programs that the Public Security Directorate seeks to develop through a sustainable partnership with educational and research institutions, and within a systematic framework aimed at spreading preventive awareness among students at various university and school levels, to preserve generations from the scourge of drugs, and protect society from its destructive effects. .

In turn, the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Higher Education, Dr. Mamoun Al-Dabai, appreciated the efforts carried out by the Public Security Directorate to combat drugs and their dangers, indicating to the importance of awareness-raising and educational work within the dimensions of prevention and treatment, in the context of the existing partnership between the Public Security Directorate and educational institutions in the Kingdom, in a way that provides the highest levels of protection students and society in general.

The seminar, which was attended by a number of public security officers and deans of student affairs in a number of universities and colleges, included working papers on the scourge of drugs, awareness of its dangers, and effective solutions that would enhance the role of educational institutions in dealing optimally with drugs.

The Director of the Anti-Narcotics Department also presented the most important efforts made by the Public Security Directorate and the department in preventing drug sources, indicating the most important strategies being followed, and the achievements made in this field.
