The Director of Public Security, Major General AbeidAllah Maaitah, received in the Directorate's building today, the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Jordan, Bernard Kampmann, and his accompanying delegation.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed ways to enhance police cooperation between the two friendly countries, especially in the field of capacity building and raising the efficiency of security and humanitarian services provided to citizens.

On the sidelines of the meeting, Public Security Directorate received a set of modern machinery and equipment provided by the German government.

Major General Al Maaitah stressed Jordan's role in combating crime and spreading the values of security and peace locally and internationally, indicating that Public Security Directorate continues to strengthen its extended relations with the German government, which are based on developing performance and building technical and training capacities.

Major General Al-Maaitah expressed his thanks to the German government and its role in supporting efforts to combat crime, and its contribution to strengthening international peace and security.

In turn, the German ambassador stressed the importance of the Jordanian role in maintaining regional security and stability, indicating  to the German government's keenness to raise the level of cooperation and coordination with the Jordanian police, and to support its security and humanitarian efforts by building technical capabilities and providing modern technical equipment.

The support included a number of vehicles intended to participate in supporting police services, civil defense and emergency medical services, which comes as part of cooperation between the German and Jordanian police forces within the framework of the German government's "Empowerment and Strengthening Initiative".
