Periodic checks on the facilities for self protection and prevention  

Recipients

  • Owners of all facilities 

Place

  • External prevention departments (in all governorates).

Conditions

  • The facility must be registered in the Prevention Department and have a facility number (to be registered and a file opened based on the availability of firefighting and alarm systems after studying the plans)

Procedures

  • An annual plan is prepared for the unannounced inspection of the facilities by the external protection departments (based on the degree of risk).

  • The detection officer conducts an inspection of the facility according to the time specified in the plan to ensure the maintenance of the work of fire protection missions, and the owner of the facility is given a notification of the detection, which he will see upon receiving the inspection report.

  • In the event that the facility meets the requirements, the stakeholders are addressed with a follow-up report that includes the absence of recommendations and the necessity of continuing the work of the prevention missions.

  • In the event that the facility does not comply with the requirements, the stakeholders are addressed to the existence of recommendations and the necessity to implement them. In the event of non-implementation of the recommendations, the Greater Amman Municipality or the municipality is addressed. Either if the owner of the facility continues not to comply with the implementation of the recommendations, the administrative governor is addressed to oblige the owner of the facility to implement the recommendations contained in the Civil Defense letter (to be re-disclosed based on the annual follow-up plan
